Israel blocking the return of Palestinians forced to leave northern Gaza
A report claims that Israel is barring Palestinians from returning to their homes in the northern Gaza Strip as part of the “Generals’ Plan” to create a restricted military zone.
The Haaretz newspaper said that the Israeli military has been implementing “a considerable part” of the controversial strategy, which directs residents to flee the beleaguered northern Gaza and become legal targets.
Ground conditions show the Israeli force is “in effect bisecting the northern Strip,” the study added. Even in places where the army’s activity has ended, the residents lack permission to return to the evacuated areas.
The article stated that the Shati refugee camp and the northern Gaza Strip south of Jabalia had lost their residents.
Forced eviction has caused “mass destruction of homes and infrastructure from Jabalia northward,” the study said.
“These are nearly irreversible changes that will take the Palestinians years to repair, assuming they manage to do so at all.”
The occupying military has left Beit Lahia uninhabitable with nighttime artillery fire to prevent civilians from going home, the report added.
“The army has begun the stage of cleansing the northern Strip while it prepares to hold onto the area for a long time to come,” noted.
On Tuesday, Channel 12 TV stated that the Israeli force is prepared to conquer Jabalia and will not allow people to return.

In Gaza, the Israeli regime has killed 43,391 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and injured 102,347.
Israel escalated its attacks in the northern Gaza Strip last month, cutting it off from the rest of the enclave and blocking practically all food deliveries.
Major international assistance organizations have urged the world community to stop Israel’s forced relocation in northern Gaza.
The presidents of 15 UN agencies and other humanitarian organizations declared northern Gaza “apocalyptic” on Friday, saying the entire population is “at imminent risk of dying from disease, famine, and violence.”
