Anwar welcomes national athletes’ achievements at Paris 2024 Olympics

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will develop a new framework to enhance sports and athletic performance in the country in preparation for future international events.

According to Berita Harian, while welcoming the achievements of national athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that this initiative aims to improve performance in line with the nation’s focus on sports.

He further commented that he urges Malaysians and sports enthusiasts not to complain about the achievements of the country’s representatives, as they have put in their best effort.

“I want to congratulate the friends and young athletes involved in the Olympic Games; they have tried their best.

“We welcome the results… regarding their hopes and future, we will prepare several new frameworks to enhance sports and athletic performance in the country.

“We must focus on moving forward, but in the meantime, please do not complain because our athletes have given their utmost effort,” he told reporters today.

Malaysia successfully secured two bronze medals in badminton at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
