PAS calls on all Malaysians to perform special prayer and Qunut Nazilah this Saturday
KUALA LUMPUR: PAS is calling on all Malaysians to hold special prayers and recite Qunut Nazilah across the country this Saturday.
According to Astro Awani, PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said this call follows the suggestion by Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh to declare August 3 as a day of solidarity for the people of Gaza and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
“Therefore, I am directing all PAS members and suggesting to all Malaysians to conduct special prayers and Qunut Nazilah nationwide this Saturday.
“May Allah grant aid and victory to the Palestinian people and destroy the Israeli forces and their allies who act unjustly and inhumanely,” he said in a statement today.
On Tuesday, Ismail urged residents of Arab, Islamic, and global nations to hold demonstrations and marches this Saturday to show solidarity with the people of Gaza and prisoners in Israeli jails.
In a statement on Hamas’s Telegram account, Haniyeh urged August 3 to be observed as a national and international day of support for Gaza and the prisoners.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with the support of the United States, has launched a war on Gaza, resulting in over 130,000 casualties and injuries, mostly children and women.
More than 10,000 others are missing amid massive destruction and famine, considered one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
Tel Aviv continues its war and ignores the United Nations Security Council resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire, including orders from the International Court of Justice.
