PH Presidential Council Meeting at Perdana Putra Draws Attention

PUTRAJAYA: The Perdana Putra building here has become the focus of media attention ahead of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Presidential Council meeting, which is expected to take place this afternoon.

A check by Utusan Malaysia found that several multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) began entering the building at about 5.20 pm.

Meanwhile, several media personnel were seen gathering at the building’s compound from as early as 4 pm.

Earlier, the media reported that the meeting was expected to begin at 5.30 pm and would be chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar, who is also PH chairman, is expected to meet the coalition’s top leadership, including DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke Siew Fook and Amanah President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.

Earlier this morning, the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department announced in a statement that former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had been granted a conditional pardon by Sultan Ibrahim, Yang di-Pertuan Agong, allowing him to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest until Aug 23, 2028.
