‘Thank You for the Strong Support’ – Tuanku Muhriz

SEPANG: The Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, expressed his appreciation for the support shown to him amid the ongoing dispute over his position.

His Royal Highness also expressed his intention to return to the palace and resolve the ongoing impasse.

“Thank you for the strong support. I will return to the palace. Where else would I go?” he said.

Earlier, Tuanku Muhriz arrived at about 9.50 pm accompanied by the Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani Tengku Besar Mahmud.

Also present was the Tunku Besar Seri Menanti, Tunku Ali Redhauddin Tuanku Muhriz.

His Royal Highness’ return was awaited by about 200 supporters who gathered at KLIA to express their support and welcome Tuanku Muhriz home.

Chants of “Daulat Tuanku” echoed through KLIA upon his arrival, with supporters carrying banners and placards while chanting their support for His Royal Highness.

Earlier, the Negeri Sembilan state government announced that the proclamation concerning the removal of Tuanku Muhriz from the throne was valid and recognised Tuanku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar as the new Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

However, the Negeri Sembilan Dewan Keadilan dan Undang (DKU) maintained that Tuanku Muhriz remains the lawful Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
