10,000 MADANI Tickets for F1 Sepang Sold Out

SEPANG: The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) has confirmed that there will be no additional quota for MADANI tickets at this time for the Formula 1 (F1) Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix (GP) 2026 at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), as all 10,000 tickets allocated at RM200 each have been sold out.

Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari, however, did not rule out the possibility of considering additional viewing areas in the near future.

“So far, there has been no addition, and as of now, everything has been sold out. For the (tickets) MADANI specifically for Malaysians, 10,000 tickets were allocated, and if there are any additions, we will announce them, but as of today, there are no additional allocations.

“Our estimate is that there will be more than (110,000) spectators based on the available capacity. Regarding the MADANI tickets, we are trying to add more, and perhaps we will open up areas that we can consider before the event begins,” he said.

He said this to reporters after the launch of the Rakan Muda volunteer registration in conjunction with the F1 GP Bahrain in Malaysia at SIC here on Wednesday.

Commenting on the volunteer initiative, Mohammed Taufiq informed that 500 volunteers will be specifically mobilised for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026, scheduled to take place at SIC from 2 to 4 October.

He explained that in addition to Formula 1, another 500 volunteers will be assigned for the World Motorcycle Championship (MotoGP) race at SIC from 30 October to 1 November, bringing the total number of volunteers for both major events to 1,000 so far.

“Applications for volunteers have been opened today online via the MyProfil System platform under the Malaysian Youth Development Research Institute (IYRES),” he said.

Among the eligibility requirements set include being a Malaysian citizen aged 18 and above, physically fit, disciplined, and possessing good communication skills, with the ability to speak foreign languages being an advantage.

Selected volunteers will be placed under the supervision of the National Youth and Sports Department (JBSN) through the Rakan Muda initiative for duties including customer service, ticketing and entry, liaison or ushering, and management of the MADANI zone.
