PM Anwar, Cabinet Ministers Attend 2026 National Day Celebration
PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the Cabinet Ministers attended the 2026 National Day celebration which took place at Dataran Putrajaya here today.
Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, accompanied by his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, arrived at the royal dais at 7.53 am and was greeted with the tune of the Prime Minister’s Honour March.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi arrived at Dataran Putrajaya at 7.45 am.
Also present were Communications Minister, who is also Chairman of the Main Committee for the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) celebration, Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, as well as other Cabinet ministers.
Themed “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati” (Malaysia MADANI: Wellbeing Enjoyed), the 69th National Day celebration was also attended by deputy ministers, honoured guests, and foreign representatives.
The event involved the participation of 10,819 parade participants comprising 76 contingents and 22 brass bands, 11 decorated vehicles, 328 land, sea, and air assets, as well as 112 service animals, in addition to 22 electric vehicle (EV) asset units.
