RM20,000 Contribution Honours Services of Selangor Fire and Rescue Personnel
KLANG: The Selangor State Government presented a contribution of RM20,000 to the members of the Selangor Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) as a token of appreciation for their services and sacrifices.
The contribution was presented by the Selangor State Housing and Culture EXCO, YB Datuk Borhan Aman Shah, at the Malaysian Fire Sports Appreciation Ceremony (SUKBOM) and Selangor JBPM Appreciation Event 2026 at Wyndham Acmar Klang, yesterday.
Of that amount, RM6,000 was channelled to the Selangor JBPM Sports, Welfare and Cultural Association (PERSKEB), while RM14,000 was distributed to the seven Selangor JBPM zones.
The contribution also helps support welfare activities, sports and programmes that benefit fire officers and personnel.
The State Government also emphasised the importance of cooperation with JBPM, particularly in aspects of fire safety, emergency preparedness, and safety of residents in housing areas and strata communities.
The ceremony also celebrated the success of the Selangor Contingent which emerged as Overall Runners-Up in SUKBOM 2026 after winning 15 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze medals.
