Drugs Worth RM40.02 Million Disposed

JOHOR BAHRU: Johor police disposed of various types of drug case items worth RM40.02 million involving 40,269 investigation papers which had completed trial proceedings in court from 1999 to 2025.

Johor Deputy Police Chief, Deputy Commissioner Hoo Chuan Huat said, the disposal by the Johor Contingent Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN) was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Inspector‑General of Police Standing Orders Part D207 (Disposal of Case Items).

“The total case items disposed of involved solid‑form drugs weighing 532.76 kilograms (kg) and 10,072 litres in liquid form.

“The total drugs disposed of are estimated to be enough to harm approximately 1.39 million users,” he said at a press conference at the Johor Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) here, today.

A male student who asked his mother to perform indecent acts was sent to Henry Gurney School.

He said, among the main drugs disposed of were 264.59 kg of syabu (methamphetamine); 138.52 kg of cannabis; 78.98 kg of heroin; 30.47 kg of ecstasy powder and 11.69 kg of erimin 5 pills.

“In addition, also disposed of were 5.66 kg of ecstasy pills; 2.70 kg of ketamine; 0.41 kg of yaba pills; 10,000 litres of ketum water as well as four litres of codeine,” he said.

He said, the cases involved with the disposal items are investigation papers made under Section 39B, Section 39A(2), Section 39A(1), Section 6 and Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 as well as Section 30(3) of the Poisons Act 1952.

He said, to comply with environmental standards, the disposal process was carried out at the Kualiti Alam Sdn Bhd Waste Treatment Centre, Bukit Pelanduk, Negeri Sembilan.

“We use their services as they have the expertise, equipment and a designated location for disposing of scheduled items,” he explained.
