36 Veterans Without Pension in Banting State Constituency Receive RM200 Vouchers

SHAH ALAM: A total of 36 non-pensioned veterans in the Banting State Legislative Assembly (DUN) constituency received the 2026 Selangor Heroes’ Day Jom Shopping Vouchers worth RM200 each.

Banting State Assemblyman (ADN) V Papparaidu said the State Government’s initiative is an appreciation to the veterans for their services, contributions and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation’s peace and well-being.

According to him, the vouchers can be redeemed and used to purchase essential goods at Econsave Banting throughout the period of August 1 to 31.

“May this assistance help to ease the daily expenses of the recipients, especially in facing the challenges of the rising cost of living.

“Thank you for all the services and sacrifices rendered to the nation. Your contributions will always be remembered, your sacrifices will always be appreciated,” he said in a Facebook post.

Papparaidu said the vouchers were distributed in conjunction with Heroes’ Day as a token of appreciation to veterans who have served the nation.

The Jom Shopping programme is among the State Government’s initiatives to assist target groups through the provision of assistance for the purchase of daily necessities.
