LOS ANGELES: Although the 2026 World Cup semi-finals have yet to kick off, the focus of football fans around the world is now beginning to shift towards the final match, which will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 20.

The tournament, which made history as the first edition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, now has only a few days remaining before a new world champion is crowned.

For supporters who still harbour dreams of watching the final live, FIFA is still offering opportunities through last-minute ticket sales.

According to FIFA, approximately 1,200 Category 2 tickets are still available for purchase, mostly involving seats in the upper sections of MetLife Stadium, priced at AS$7,380 (RM30,116) each.

Also on offer are Category 1 tickets, which are closer to the pitch, but fans would need to spend a significantly larger amount, with prices reaching over AS$30,000 (RM122,000) per ticket.

Although the prices offered are considered premium, demand is expected to continue to rise as the World Cup final has always been among the most anticipated sporting events in the world.

The title decider will pit the winner of the semi-final between Argentina and England against the other finalist, which will be determined through the meeting between France and Spain.

For supporters unable to be in New Jersey, the 2026 World Cup final can still be watched via live broadcasts worldwide, ensuring that the tournament’s climax can be enjoyed by millions of football fans.
