PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in security and regional stability following a high-level courtesy visit by Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the UAE Federal National Council, to Malaysia’s Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail on Wednesday.

The meeting underscored the close diplomatic ties between the two nations and reflected their shared commitment to promoting regional peace, stability, and security through closer collaboration.
During the discussions, both leaders exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and explored opportunities to further enhance Malaysia-UAE cooperation, particularly in the field of security.
The engagement also highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue and strategic partnerships between the two countries in addressing evolving regional and global security challenges.
Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) reiterated its commitment to expanding international cooperation with strategic partners, including the UAE, to safeguard national interests and ensure the continued safety, security, and well-being of the people.
The meeting marks another positive step in deepening the longstanding friendship between Malaysia and the UAE while reinforcing cooperation in areas of shared strategic importance.
