KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian companies will have the opportunity to expand their presence in the international halal market through the MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2026 exhibition, which will take place from July 15 to 17.

In a statement, the organiser said the exhibition will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand, bringing together industry players, buyers, and distributors from across the ASEAN region and global markets.

The statement said MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2026, organised by Comasia Limited in collaboration with SHAPERS, the National Food Institute of Thailand (NFI), and the Thai Muslim Trade Association (TMTA), is expected to become one of the most significant and largest halal trade platforms in Southeast Asia.

“The event will be held concurrently with MEGA SHOW Bangkok, further boosting the attendance of international trade buyers and strengthening Thailand’s position as a key trade hub in the ASEAN region.

“More than 200 exhibitors from over 10 countries and regions are expected to participate in MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2026, covering various industry segments including food and beverages, cosmetics, personal care, health and wellness, pharmaceuticals, Muslim fashion, lifestyle products, and halal technology,” it said.

The exhibition is set to become a major platform for promoting Asian halal innovation and products to global markets following confirmed participation from countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Mainland China, and Taiwan.

A series of promotional roadshows has been carried out over recent months in major halal hubs including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and China to ensure broader international participation in the exhibition.

The campaign has also received support from various halal organisations and international media partners in South Africa, South Korea, Pakistan, and Bangladesh to expand outreach to the global halal business community.

In Indonesia, organisations such as Halal Indo and Debindo have established strategic collaborations to promote participation among local companies, a move aimed at strengthening the involvement of the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation in the exhibition.

Large-scale promotional campaigns have also been launched at major aviation hubs including Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Jakarta, and Hong Kong International Airport in an effort to attract more international professional buyers.

Major Asian retail companies including Big C and Lotus’s from Thailand, as well as Indomaret from Indonesia, have confirmed their participation as trade buyers, creating strategic opportunities for exhibitors to establish direct commercial partnerships with some of the region’s largest distribution networks.

The organisers are offering exclusive incentives in the form of complimentary two-night stays at five-star halal-friendly hotels for eligible trade buyers and international participants as part of their commitment to facilitating international trade.

In line with the initiative, Al Meroz Hotel Bangkok, Thailand’s first halal-certified luxury hotel, has been appointed as the Official Hotel Partner of MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2026, further enhancing the halal-friendly hospitality experience throughout the event.

The organisers encourage Malaysian companies, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, Muslim fashion, and halal lifestyle sectors, to participate in MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2026 to expand their business networks and penetrate ASEAN as well as global halal markets.
