College Bus Carrying 32 Students Skids Off, Driver Injured

KULIM: A total of 32 students from a college escaped without any injuries after the bus they were travelling in skidded and entered the opposite lane on Jalan Lebuh KTC, here this morning.

In the incident at around 7.35 a.m., the 43-year-old bus driver sustained injuries to his head and was rushed to Kulim Hospital for treatment.

Kulim District Police Chief, Superintendent Syamsul Sinring said, at the time of the incident, the bus was carrying 32 students from KHTP Skill Centre College before it skidded and entered the opposite lane.

“As a result of the accident, the bus driver sustained injuries to his head and was taken to Kulim Hospital for treatment. All 32 students who were on the bus did not sustain any injuries,” he said here today.

He said all the students involved were later sent to the college using a van and the actual cause of the incident is still under investigation.
