House Engulfed In Flames While Father, Son Were Asleep

SHAH ALAM: A father and his son managed to escape to safety when the house they were staying in at Taman Seri Istana Hills, Klang, here, caught fire suddenly early this morning.

In the incident at 5.23 am, the 57-year-old male victim suffered burns to his wrist and head, while his 28-year-old son experienced breathing difficulties.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Assistant Director, Ashrul Riezal Asbar, said the fire involved a two-storey terrace house.

“The fire involved two victims, namely the father and son. However, both managed to get out and save themselves from the burning residence.

“The fire department provided initial treatment and sent both victims to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang,” he said.

Ashrul Riezal added that the fire was fully brought under control at 5.47 am.
