KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to make a one-day working visit to Sabah today to attend several programmes, including launch ceremonies and community events.

The Prime Minister will begin his visit by attending the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Sabah Southern MADANI Link at Dewan Lundayeh, Sipitang, at 11 am.

The project involves a 275-kilovolt (kV) electricity transmission line spanning 330 kilometres (km) from Sipitang to Tawau and plays a crucial role in strengthening the state’s electricity supply grid by balancing energy distribution between Sabah’s West and East Coasts.

After concluding the programme in Sipitang, he is scheduled to return to the state capital to attend the MADANI Steps Together Programme: Women of Faith, Women of Resilience, Sabah State Level, which will take place at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here at 2.30 pm.

Anwar is then scheduled to officiate the National-Level Unity Week Celebration Launch Ceremony for 2026 at 4 pm.

The launch ceremony for the national-level celebration will be held at the Likas Sports Complex grounds here before he concludes his visit.

The National-Level Unity Week Celebration for 2026 runs for four days, ending tomorrow.
