Sick child carried on a motorcycle caught the attention of PM Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed concern about the hardships experienced by a couple who frequently ride a motorbike to the hospital with their child who requires a breathing aid.

Anwar, through his political secretary Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, has asked the public for any information about the family.

“We kindly urge anyone with information about this family to share it in the comments below so that we can offer assistance,” he wrote in a Facebook post today.

Images of the couple, with the wife carrying the child and a bag containing respiratory medication, have been extensively shared on social media.

It is understood that the couple’s child relies only on the respiratory help for daily activities.

Meanwhile, a search of the Arena Motor Facebook page revealed that the pair lives in Taman Kota Nelayan, Kuala Kedah, Kedah.

The account owner also revealed that the man, identified only as Azlan, works as a fisherman and earns a daily pay.

“We are grateful to the Malaysian people for their support.

Our followers shared this information through the inbox.

“Lacking a car, they rely on their motorbike for transportation to the hospital,” he said.
