Malaysia’s F/A-18D Hornet Fighter Jet Crashes in Kuantan, Pilot Rescued Alive

Kuantan, Pahang:

A Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) F/A-18D Hornet fighter jet crashed on Thursday night at the runway of Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Air Base in Kuantan, Pahang.

In a statement, the RMAF confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. Emergency response teams were immediately deployed, and the pilot was successfully rescued alive. He is currently receiving medical treatment under close supervision.

The RMAF added that an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident. The public has been urged not to spread rumors or unverified information until official updates are released.
