130 Outstanding Sungai Buloh Students Receive RM50,750 in Higher Education Assistance

SUNGAI BULOH – A total of 130 students from the Sungai Buloh parliamentary constituency who secured placements at higher learning institutions were celebrated this morning in a programme organised by the Sungai Buloh Parliamentary Service Centre in collaboration with Bank Rakyat.

Bank Rakyat presented RM38,500 in education assistance to the students who will be pursuing studies ranging from certificate level to bachelor’s degree.

Sungai Buloh MP Datuk Ramanan Ramakrishnan also contributed a personal donation of RM12,250, bringing the total assistance disbursed today to RM50,750.

“Congratulations to all Sungai Buloh students for this outstanding achievement,” he said in a statement. Although unable to attend due to official duties in Sabah, Ramanan interacted with the students via video call and was represented by his Senior Private Secretary, En. Firdaus Farid, who attended the event on his behalf.

Since 2024, Bank Rakyat and Yayasan Bank Rakyat have channelled nearly RM1.2 million to more than 4,000 recipients in Sungai Buloh, including students, families, and individuals in need across all communities.
