UPNM Leads Strategic Industry Collaboration with Nine Companies at FOI 2025
PUTRAJAYA, November 5: In line with its UPNM30 Strategic Plan, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) continues to strengthen its commitment to research, development, and innovation (R&D) through the signing of nine strategic collaboration agreements with leading Malaysian industry partners during the Festival of Ideas (FOI) 2025 held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) today.
The memorandum exchange ceremony was officiated by UPNM Vice-Chancellor Lieutenant General Datuk Wira Arman Rumaizi bin Hj Ahmad, together with representatives from the participating companies, and witnessed by Dato’ Dr. Haji Megat Sany bin Megat Ahmad Supian, Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) of the Ministry of Higher Education.
The signed agreements encompass a wide range of strategic fields, including defense, renewable energy, automotive technology, geospatial solutions, innovative materials, smart agrotechnology, maritime communication, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced manufacturing. These collaborations underscore UPNM’s dedication to strengthening university-industry networks to accelerate the translation of research outcomes into impactful national technologies.
