UNITEN organizes Mahabbah Ceremony with Sabah Students
BANGI – Today, the Mahabbah Ceremony was held with Sabah students at the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Putrajaya Campus.
Datuk Dr. Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation and the Sabah State Exco for Education and Religion, presided over the event.
“221 students from four higher education institutions enthusiastically attended the ceremony, including:
UNITEN: 71 students
UKM: 50 students
USIM: 50 students
UPM: 50 students
Representatives from religious organizations such as the Special Tawqa Fund (TTK), Sabah State Baitulmal Corporation (PBNS), Sabah State Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JHEAINS), and Sabah Islamic Religious Council (MUIS) were also present to add energy to the occasion.
In his introductory remarks, Mohd Arifin emphasized the value of education as the cornerstone of community development, particularly for Peninsular Malaysian students in Sabah.
He also presented contributions to the students as a sign of appreciation and support for their efforts in pursuing academic success.
The ceremony reflects the Sabah government’s commitment to strengthening ties between Sabah students abroad and encouraging cooperation between educational institutions and religious agencies.
