Two Malaysians Injured in Bomb Blast to Be Transferred to Malaysia After Receiving Hospital Approval in Narathiwat

KOTA BHARU: The two Malaysians who were injured in the explosion in Tak Bai, Thailand, earlier today are in stable and safe condition.

Consul General of Malaysia in Songkhla, Ahmad Fahmi Ahmad Sarkawi, said his office is continuously monitoring the condition of the victims.

“Both victims are in stable and safe condition.

“The victims will be transferred to Malaysia after receiving approval from Narathiwat Hospital,” he said when contacted.

Earlier, media reported that two Malaysians were injured after being hit by a bomb explosion under a drain along Highway 42, Kampung Phrai Wan, near the Tak Bai sub-district, Narathiwat, today.

The victims were identified as Abdullah Syarapi Abd Rahman, 45, from Kelantan, and Muhammad Yusri Udin, 38, from Sabah.

Narathiwat Provincial Police Chief, Major General Prayong Kotsakha, was reported to have said that Abdullah sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel to his forehead, serious injuries to his left leg and injuries to his head, while Muhammad sustained only minor injuries.
