Two Killed in Honda Civic-Toyota Hilux Crash

KUANTAN: Two men were killed while another was injured in a crash involving two vehicles along Jalan Gambang-Maran near the Kampung Paya Rambutan junction here today.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division Assistant Director Mohd Salahuddin Isa said six firefighters were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 12.59pm.

“The crash involved a Honda Civic carrying two men and a Toyota Hilux four-wheel-drive vehicle driven by another man.

“The two victims in the Honda Civic were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated using specialised equipment.

“The driver of the Toyota Hilux was also injured in the crash,” he said in a statement.

Mohd Salahuddin said the driver and passenger of the Honda Civic were pronounced dead at the scene, and their bodies were handed over to the police for further action.
