In the south-central part of the occupied West Bank, a Palestinian attacked with a car, hurting at least two Israeli troops. This happened at a time when tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinians were high. In a statement, the Israeli army said that a Palestinian citizen sped his car toward troops and broke through a checkpoint during a military raid into the town of al-Khader, which is 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) west of Bethlehem.

The suspect then left the scene of the crime, and troops began looking for the car. According to Hebrew-language news sources, the car attack injured the two troops in the head and limbs.According to the official Palestinian news service Wafa, Israeli forces broke into al-Khader after the event and sealed it off.

The news agency said that Israeli troops had a tight grip on the town and were shooting anyone who tried to enter it. A car rammed and stabbed two Israeli settlers near Shiloh, an illegal village in the West Bank, on November 6. An armed settler in the area shot and killed the Palestinian attacker.

The Israeli government’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service reported at the time that it immediately treated a 26-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy before transporting them to Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus in al-Quds.

Israeli troops have detained about 5,250 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since October 7 of last year. More than 2,050 of them are members of the Hamas resistance organization. The Palestinian Health Ministry reports that over 716 Palestinians have died in the West Bank during this period.
