Total investment income for the EPF rose by 20% year-over-year to over RM57.5bil

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) made RM57.57bil from investments from January to September of this year, which is 20% more than the same time last year, according to Executive Chairman Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn.

Last year, EPF’s financial income was RM19.67bil, but this year it was RM5bil more than the previous year.

In September 2024, EPF’s investment assets were worth RM1.2 trillion, with 62.2% of that amount going to local investments and 37.8% going to foreign investments, according to a statement.

Most of its investment income—RM48.02bil—went to regular savings accounts, while RM9.55bil went to syariah savings accounts.
