Torrential rain causes landslide in Taman Melawati

KUALA LUMPUR: Persistent heavy rainfall since early Tuesday morning (Oct 15) has triggered a landslide on Jalan E6 in Taman Melawati, according to the Malay language portal AstroAwani. The incident rapidly gained attention on social media, with videos capturing the landslide near a residential neighborhood. The intense water flow from the hillside also resulted in multiple trees toppling around homes and vehicles. AstroAwani reported that several residents posted videos online, showcasing the extent of the damage.
