Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain In 8 States And Kuala Lumpur Until 5pm

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds expected to hit eight states as well as the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur until 5pm this evening.

According to a MetMalaysia statement issued at 2pm, the warning involves the entire states of Melaka and Penang, as well as Kedah involving Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu.

The weather is also forecast in Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim) and Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Pekan and Rompin).

The same warning also involves Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat); Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu) and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang and Mersing).
