Three-Year-Old Girl Dies After Concrete Pillar Collapses in Seremban Home

SEREMBAN, Oct 4: A tragic accident in Seremban claimed the life of a three-year-old girl after a concrete pillar from her home’s main gate collapsed on her Friday evening.

Seremban District Police Chief, Asst Comm Mohamad Hatta Che Din, said the incident occurred around 7.15pm while the child was playing with her sister near the gate.

“The pillar that was supporting the main gate suddenly gave way and collapsed on the victim. Her mother immediately rushed her to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival,” ACP Mohamad Hatta said in a statement.

A post-mortem examination revealed that the cause of death was a severe head injury.

Police have classified the case as sudden death, ruling out any foul play.

ACP Mohamad Hatta also urged homeowners to inspect and maintain their property structures, especially those involving heavy materials such as concrete and metal, to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The tragic incident has shocked the local community, with neighbors expressing their condolences to the grieving family.
