KULAI, Nov 19: Three people were killed and several others injured after a serious crash involving two lorries and a car along Jalan Senai Seelong on Tuesday afternoon.
Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said the accident happened at about 4.15pm when a lorry rammed into the rear of a hatchback driven by a 68-year-old man, who had three women passengers aged between 65 and 87.

“The impact caused both the lorry and the car to veer into the opposite lane, where they collided with an oncoming lorry driven by a 23-year-old man,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old lorry driver died at the scene due to severe injuries.
The 46-year-old driver of the first lorry and a 65-year-old female passenger from the car died while receiving treatment at Hospital Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim.
The car’s driver and two other elderly passengers were rushed to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for further treatment.
Police have opened an investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
