“The Saboteurs”: Hamas says Israel is stopping peace talks while the killing in Gaza goes on

A top leader of the Hamas resistance movement says that Israel is blocking talks to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip by not removing all of its occupation troops and ending its war of genocide on the Palestinian territory.

Hamas has shown “maximum flexibility” when it comes to the problem of Israeli prisoners, according to an interview with Gaza-based Al-Aqsa TV. Hamdan said this as long as the Tel Aviv regime stops attacking and occupying Gaza and makes it easier for reconstruction and relief projects to happen.

He also stated that Israel consistently breaches the agreements reached during the ceasefire negotiations.

Hamdan also said that the resistance group wants more than just positive words from the US government to help bring about a truce in Gaza.

He said that Hamas “has worked with mediators, Turkey, and other groups to get an international stance that would force the occupation (Israel) to implement a ceasefire.”

“The destruction and terrible suffering of our people from the cold and hunger make me wonder if the international system is even real.”

The official from Hamas also said that Israel is bombing hospitals to get rid of the Palestinians who live in the area.

He said that the Gaza Strip’s medical industry shows how strong the Palestinian people are and how much they want to live.

On October 7, 2023, Israel launched its brutal Gaza assault. This came after Hamas carried out a historic operation against the usurping entity as a response to its increased crimes against the Palestinian people.

At least 45,514 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed, and 108,189 have been hurt in Gaza by the occupying government so far.

During its brutal attack, Israel has gone after residential buildings in Gaza, such as hospitals, which is against international law.

In another section of the discussion, Hamdan refuted Israel’s claims that the resistance had decreased.

He also said negative things about the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) ongoing military operation in the northern West Bank and told the security forces to fight the Israeli occupiers instead of resistance fighters.
