Saudi humanitarian aid group makes a $10.4 million deal to help Ukraine
The Saudi aid group KSrelief and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees have agreed to work together to help internally displaced people in Ukraine who are in need of shelter because of the humanitarian situation there.
We will use the money to purchase 11,000 shelter kits, 2,400 fast heating kits, and various other building supplies to ensure homes remain warm throughout the winter. It will help almost 49,000 people.
Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, the assistant supervisor for operations and programs at KSrelief, and Kelly Clements, the deputy high commissioner of the UNHCR, negotiated the deal.
Those working for the Royal Court and running KSrelief, including Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, were also present.
The agreement is a component of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to assist refugees and those displaced worldwide.
