RIYADH, Aug 13: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a phone conversation with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The two leaders reviewed recent developments in Gaza, focusing on both the security and humanitarian consequences of the conflict. They underscored the urgent need for coordinated international efforts to halt the escalation, mitigate the impact of the violence, and ensure the protection of civilians.

In addition to the Gaza issue, the discussion covered bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Italy, with both sides exploring avenues to further strengthen cooperation across various sectors, according to SPA.
