KUALA LUMPUR: The MADANI Government will continue to focus on the needs of Sabah by ensuring that every policy and assistance programme is implemented effectively and truly benefits people on the ground, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a Facebook post, Anwar, who is also finance minister, said he had reviewed several matters related to the development and welfare of Sabah’s population.
He said the discussion took place during a meeting with Human Resources Deputy Minister Datuk Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, who is also Batu Sapi MP, and Sabah Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Datuk Jamawi Jaafar on Tuesday.
“The discussion also touched on efforts to improve the standard of living of the people, especially in rural areas, including initiatives to strengthen economic opportunities and public well-being,” he said.
Anwar stressed that the MADANI government remains committed to ensuring that every policy and assistance programme is not only announced but also effectively delivered to the people.
“The MADANI Government will continue to focus on Sabah’s needs so that every policy and assistance is not merely announced but truly reaches and is felt by the people on the ground, God willing,” he added.
