PM expected to present achievements of the Madani economy framework this Sunday

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to present the achievements resulting from the Madani Economy Framework this Sunday.

According to the Unity Government spokesperson, Fahmi Fadzil, the announcement will be made by Anwar at the Madani Rakyat Southern Zone Program at Dataran UTM, Skudai, Johor.

“On August 17, he (Anwar) will not only deliver a keynote address but will also present a summary of the outcomes from the Madani Economy Framework based on reports provided by the ministries this Sunday.

“Watch the success and achievements of the government,” he said at a press conference today.

The Minister of Communications stated that the Madani Rakyat Program in Johor will run from today until Sunday.

The Madani Economy Framework was launched on July 27, 2023, as Malaysia’s new economic framework aimed at restoring the dignity and status of the nation by setting seven key performance indicators as medium-term targets to be achieved over the next 10 years.

This Madani program will focus on eight main initiatives, including the Madani Economy, people’s well-being, the unity agenda, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), agriculture and food security, career carnivals, as well as exhibitions and services related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Through 34 booths from ministries and government and state agencies, a total of 175 direct services will be available at the program specifically for the people, particularly in the southern zone covering Johor, Negeri Sembilan, and Malacca.
