KANGAR: At Padang Besar’s Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex on June 2, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (Customs) Perlis branch stopped a truck carrying containers from a neighbouring country that had the logo of an Israeli shipping company.

The Israeli company’s container ferrying frozen chicken drove through the Road Trade Unit’s scanning tunnel at 12:03 p.m. to declare Form K1 in order to import goods into Malaysia, according to its director, Ismail Hashim.

“The scanning machine operator discovered that the container had the ZIM emblem on it during the image scanning procedure. He made the announcement today. “The truck was detained for confirmation and further inspection.”

As stated by Ismail, inquiries made to other government organisations verified that it is forbidden for containers with the ZIM shipping company’s emblem, located in Israel, to enter Malaysia.

He claimed, “On the same day, the container was instructed to turn back to the neighbouring country.” – BERNAMA
