PAU 2026: Umno Invites Pas Leadership As General Assembly Guests

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno will invite the top leadership of Pas to attend the 2026 Umno General Assembly (PAU) scheduled to take place from September 9 to 12.

Umno Secretary-General, Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said, the invitation is extended as a mark of respect and in return for the invitation previously given by Pas to Umno’s leadership to attend the party’s annual assembly.

“Umno will extend an official invitation to the top leadership of Pas to attend the 2026 Umno General Assembly scheduled to take place from September 9 to 12.

“The invitation is as a mark of respect and in return for the invitation given to Umno’s leadership to attend Pas’s annual assembly,” he said.

He said this after the Umno Supreme Council (MKT) meeting held at Menara Dato’ Onn, World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

In a related development, Asyraf Wajdi said the MKT also set three main programmes to be held a day before PAU 2026 begins.

He said the programmes are the 2026 Malay Education Convention, the Malaysian Islamic Scholars Multaqa and the Creative Women’s Corner.

“All three programmes scheduled for September 8 are open to the public,” he said.

The 2026 Umno General Assembly is scheduled to run for four days from September 9 to 12 at the World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur.
