No injuries reported in new Israeli strike on Syria
Israeli military planes attacked Syria again, this time hitting positions on the outskirts of the city, Damascus. This is part of the regime’s ongoing air-based attacks in Gaza and Lebanon.
SANA, Syria’s official news agency, said that a military source told them that Israeli jets attacked civilian sites on the southern flank of Damascus on Monday at 5:18 p.m. local time (14:18 GMT) from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights.
The source also stated that the attack seriously damaged the target. Several news sources shared video footage of thick smoke rising in the Sayyida Zainab suburb.
Mehdi Mahfouz, a 34-year-old resident of the area, reported hearing three consecutive explosions, one of which was very strong.
He also said, “Then I saw a big black cloud of smoke rising.”
A war watch group in Britain called the “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights” said that at least three strikes had happened in the area.
Israel kept attacking hospitals, homes, and places of worship in Gaza from the air and the ground after the Palestinian resistance groups began Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a surprise attack against the regime on October 7, 2023.
At least 43,374 Palestinians have died, and more than 102,261 have suffered injuries. Most of those killed were women and children.
The Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon says that Israeli bombings on the Arab country have killed at least 2,986 people since October 2023. 18 people have died and 83 have suffered injuries in the last 24 hours alone.
Israel often attacks military sites inside Syria, especially those of Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance movement that has been very helpful to the Syrian army in its fight against terrorists backed by other countries.
The Tel Aviv regime has been silent about its attacks on Syrian territory. Many people believe this is due to the success of the Syrian government in combating and eliminating terrorism.
Since the foreign-backed uprising in Syria began, Israel has been the main backer of terrorist groups that are fighting against President Bashar al-Assad’s freely elected government.
