New Wave of Iranian Missile Strikes Rock Israel, Target Key Strategic Sites in ‘Operation True Promise III’
Tehran/Tel Aviv—June 14, 2025:
A new and intense wave of Iranian missile strikes hit multiple locations across the occupied Palestinian territories in the early hours of Friday, escalating tensions in the already volatile region. The operation, dubbed “True Promise III,” marks the third phase of Iran’s ongoing retaliatory military campaign against the Israeli regime.
The missile barrage began around 1:30 am Iran time and targeted critical infrastructure across several cities, including Tel Aviv, occupied Jerusalem (al-Quds), Haifa, Lake Tiberias, and Beersheba. According to Iranian and international reports, the strikes caused widespread damage and multiple casualties.
Strategic Hits in Tel Aviv
The most severe impact was reported in Tel Aviv, where a missile struck a 50-story high-rise building, resulting in a powerful explosion and massive structural damage. The area, a “strategic facility” south of the city, has seen the deployment of Israeli emergency services.
Several Israeli media outlets confirmed scenes of panic and chaos in Tel Aviv, while the Home Front Command reportedly imposed a media blackout on details of certain targets to prevent further damage to public morale.
Iranian sources claimed that among the sites hit was a nuclear research facility in Tel Aviv, while unconfirmed reports suggest that the Israeli Ministry of Military Affairs may have also been targeted.
Censorship and Emergency Alerts
In a bid to control information, the Israeli authorities have reportedly prohibited settlers from sharing images or videos from the impacted sites. Sirens and emergency alerts continue to ring throughout the occupied territories as rescue and damage assessment operations are underway.
Iran’s Retaliation for Leadership Assassinations
Iran’s missile offensive comes in direct response to an earlier Israeli strike that targeted high-ranking Iranian military leaders and scientists. Among the prominent martyrs in that attack were
- Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces
- Major General Hossein Salami, former IRGC Commander-in-Chief
- Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of IRGC Aerospace Force
- Major General Gholam-Ali Rashid, Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters
- The group of nuclear scientists includes Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi, Fereydoun Abbasi, and Dr. Abdol-Hamid Minoucher.
- Over 70 civilians, including women and children
Iranian Officials Vow to Continue
Speaking to Iranian state television, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi confirmed that Operation True Promise III is ongoing and will continue “as long as necessary.” He vowed that Iran will avenge the blood of its martyrs, stating that over 150 strategic Israeli targets have already been hit in recent phases of the operation.
The strikes were reportedly coordinated by the IRGC Aerospace Division, with leadership approval from Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who declared that the Israeli regime had committed a “grave mistake.”
“The evil and wicked Zionist regime will be rendered helpless,” said Ayatollah Khamenei. “The great Iranian people can be assured that the Armed Forces will act powerfully and deliver heavy blows to this regime.”
As the region prepares for further escalation, international observers are calling for restraint, although both sides seem deeply entrenched in a widening conflict that shows no signs of abating.
