Mas Ermieyati remains in authority over Bersatu Masjid Tanah, and Rahim Tamby Chik prevailed in Alor Gajah

Masjid Tanah Member of Parliament Mas Ermieyati Samsudin kept his job as head of Bersatu Masjid Tanah after yesterday’s election for the party.

According to Bernama, the Melaka United Party Election Committee (JPP) said today that Mas Ermieyati, who is also the head of Wanita Bersatu, got 150 votes, while Rosni Sham Samion, who was the division’s past permanent chairman, only got four votes.

In the meantime, Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik, who used to be the chief minister of Melaka, won a one-on-one battle to become the head of the Alor Gajah division.

His opponent, Mohd Zamri Abu Bakar, received 56 votes, but he secured 105 votes, thereby defeating him.

There were 79 votes for Ramlan Meon to be head of the division in Tangga Batu. He beat Mohd Hanafiah Hamzah, a former part-time reporter for TV3, who got 26 votes.

Mohd Azrudin Md Idrus, who is currently the head of the Hang Tuah Jaya division, won without any opposition because no one ran against him.

To choose the party’s leadership, Bersatu Jasin and Kota Melaka cannot meet until December.
