Man falls from Tawau building and dies

KOTA KINABALU: On Tawau’s Jalan Apas, a man fell from a building and died.The victim was naked, according to Tawau OCPD Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin; the victim’s name was still unknown.It was alleged that the victim had been spotted walking in front of a fast food restaurant before the incident on Sunday, May 12, at noon.

“The restaurant operator was notified by a security guard to close its doors,” ACP Jasmin stated in a statement on Monday, May 13.ACP Jasmin continued, “A man covered in blood was discovered lying in front of the outlet shortly after by a restaurant employee.”

At 12:17 p.m., police received a call and hurried to the location, he added.

Medical personnel declared the victim dead at the spot, according to ACP Jasmin, and the body was brought to the hospital for a post-mortem.

He called on witnesses to come forward and assist with the inquiry.
