MACC records statements from Fashion Valet founders for over 5 hours
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) recorded statements from the co-founders of Fashion Valet for more than five hours in relation to an investigation into the RM43.9 million investment losses by Khazanah Nasional Bhd (Khazanah) and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB).
According to Bernama, as of 8 p.m., Vivy Yusof and Fadzarudin Anuar had not left the MACC headquarters since arriving at 2:30 p.m. earlier today.
Sources said the statement-recording process was expected to continue until 10 p.m. before being resumed tomorrow.
Earlier, the MACC Chief Commissioner confirmed that the couple had been called to provide statements to assist in the investigation into the case.
As of yesterday, he said, four witnesses from PNB, Khazanah, and the Ministry of Finance had been called to give statements.
It was reported yesterday that the MACC raided the offices of a local online fashion business and three other premises, seizing various documents for investigation under Section 18 of the MACC Act.
