KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Creative Festival is expected to showcase the arts and cultural aspects of the capital city, said the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Dr. Zaliha Mustafa.

According to the Wilayahku portal, she said that yesterday she launched the Kuala Lumpur Creative Festival at The Toffee, organized by ThinkCity and the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) under the Kuala Lumpur Cultural and Creative District (KLCCD) initiative.

“This is the third time I have attended a ThinkCity program under the KLCCD initiative.

“Previously, it was at Semua House for the launch of the KL Creative Grant, then at the GMBB launch, and now at the Kuala Lumpur Creative Festival,” she said on Facebook.

Commenting further, Zaliha believes that the integration of rapid development and heritage arts is crucial as part of efforts to ‘revitalize’ a city like Kuala Lumpur.

She said that the festival also serves as a good platform to display the beauty of arts and culture.

“Moreover, it is an important step to strengthen cultural diplomacy, where we can foster connections between communities, both nationally and internationally.

“God willing, at the Federal Territories Department and DBKL level, we are working to breathe new life into Kuala Lumpur, including restoring its cultural and heritage glory,” she said.
