KOTA BHARU, 19 January : The Kelantan Road Transport Department (JPJ) will carry out random inspections on participants of the RXZ Forever Legend event, scheduled for 6–7 February at the Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) in Tunjong.

JPJ Director Mohd Misuari Abdullah said the checks will focus on helmet usage, motorcycle modifications, and exhaust noise levels.

“For participants of RXZ Forever Legend, we will conduct random inspections, especially on three aspects: helmets, motorcycle modifications, and exhaust noise,” he told reporters during a course for Queen Ekspress staff on self-improvement, discipline, and professionalism, as well as the launch of the Queen Ekspress song.

He added that JPJ has an intelligence team and a monitoring team to oversee the two-day event. The monitoring will also extend to village roads. “We will welcome participants who exercise discretion by not cutting in, avoiding racing, and obeying all traffic laws,” he said.

Regarding task assignments for JPJ officers, Mohd Misuari said decisions have not been finalized, noting that the event is organized by a non-governmental organization with a police permit and state government support. “However, if assistance is needed, we will provide support,” he added.

In other news, Mohd Misuari reported that seatbelt compliance among express bus passengers in Kelantan has reached 100% since November last year, highlighting improved road safety in the state.
