Israel’s military says it failed to stop a ballistic missile coming from Yemen

It has been admitted by the Israeli military that it did not stop a missile fired from Yemen that hit the middle of the occupied Palestinian lands and hurt sixteen people.

The Israeli military said this on its Telegram channel on Saturday, a few hours after the emergency service in the occupied areas said that the Yemeni projectile hit southern Tel Aviv and hurt 16 settlers.

Following the sound of the sirens in central Israel not long ago, one projectile launched from Yemen was identified, and efforts to intercept it were made but failed.

The Israeli police also said, “Not long ago, reports came in of a weapon falling in one of the Tel Aviv district settlements.”

Israeli news outlets say the rocket hit the town of Bnei Brak, which is east of Tel Aviv. It was at least the sixth hit with a missile in the last month.

It set off air raid sounds that told hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers to go into stronger bomb shelters.

A spokesman for the emergency medical service in the occupied territories also said, “Secondary teams are treating people on-site who were hurt while trying to get to safe areas, as well as people who are anxious.”

In a statement, the Ansarullah resistance movement in Yemen said it was behind the attack and that a hypersonic ballistic missile had been fired at Tel Aviv as part of a new operation against the Israeli government and to support the people of the besieged Gaza Strip.

It had been two days since Israeli warplanes went more than 1,000 miles to bomb places in Yemen, including the capital. The Israeli forces reported hitting fuel and oil tanks, along with power plants.

Yemeni troops also successfully used ballistic missiles against two “strategic” military sites in Tel Aviv on Thursday.

Since Israel’s murderous war on the Gaza Strip began, Yemeni forces have taken action to show their support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza. They have attacked Israeli ships in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

The Yemeni military has also attacked Israeli-occupied areas with missiles and drones, mainly targeting Tel Aviv. They have promised to keep doing these missions as long as Israel keeps attacking Gaza, which means that things could get worse in the area.

Israel has hurt 107,573 Palestinians and killed at least 45,227, mostly women and children, in Gaza so far.

In October, the US sent B-2 stealth bombers to attack Yemen in support of Israel. Since then, the US has continued to launch strikes against Yemen in an attempt to prevent Sana’a from retaliating.
