Israel’s dream of transforming West Asia by force ends with a Hezbollah ceasefire: Hamas
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas claims that the truce Israel ultimately achieved with Hezbollah has destroyed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “illusion” of altering West Asia by force.
Netanyahu finally accepted the agreement on Tuesday, ending the regime’s months-long, deadly escalation against Lebanon.
It came after his “security cabinet” meeting, where he discussed a proposal from France and the United States.
Hamas said in a statement on its Telegram channel on Wednesday, “The enemy’s acceptance of the agreement with Lebanon without fulfilling the conditions it set is an important milestone in shattering Netanyahu’s illusions of changing the map of the Middle East by force.”
It also stated that Netanyahu had given up on his “illusions of defeating the Resistance forces or disarming them”.
In addition to injuring around 15,700 individuals, the Israeli government has killed over 3,700 people in Lebanon, including 42 who died nationwide on Tuesday.
The late Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah led Hezbollah in making significant sacrifices, and the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon played a crucial role in supporting the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian resistance.
Hamas stated, “We ask God Almighty to protect Lebanon and its people from all harm and evil, and we appreciate the steadfastness of the brotherly Lebanese people and their constant solidarity with the Palestinian people in confronting the Zionist occupation and its brutal aggression.”
In southern Lebanon, Israeli military leaders had promised to destroy Hezbollah. However, they were unable to achieve any of those goals and ultimately had to accept the ceasefire agreement.
We reaffirm that without the Resistance’s unwavering resolve and the public’s backing, this deal would not have been possible. In its statement, Hamas expressed confidence that the Resistance Axis will continue to stand by its people and support their fight in every way possible.
Throughout the occupied territories, Hezbollah has launched hundreds of successful reprisal attacks against a variety of critical and sensitive military locations in response to Israeli assault.
According to reports from the Lebanese resistance movement, the strikes resulted in the deaths of over 100 Israeli soldiers and injured up to 1,000 more.
