The Communications Minister, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, said that Kuala Lumpur’s holding of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits was a giant success.
FAHMI, who is also the spokesman for the MADANI government, said that both local and international media covered the meeting, which started on Monday.

“Thank God, I saw that both the 2nd ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit and the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit went well.”
He told Bernama today, “In general, feedback from the public and international media shows that hosting these summits was a success.”

Before, at 2:33 pm, Fahmi said goodbye to Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, and his group as they left the Bunga Raya Complex at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Fahmi said that the fact that the summits went well showed that Southeast Asia can be a key player in global investment problems and other issues that affect everyone.

“We understand that each member country has its views on some issues, but together as ASEAN, we can keep Southeast Asia stable, which makes it a desirable place for investors and tourists alike.” “This is an excellent and encouraging result,” he said.

He also said that the success of the ASEAN-GCC and ASEAN-GCC-China summits showed that ASEAN could connect people from different regions.

He said, “Even though we have different opinions, we can still find common ground in this stability to work toward progress and shared prosperity.”

The 46th ASEAN Summit ended yesterday. It brought together leaders from Southeast Asia for high-level talks about working together in the area, integrating economies, and keeping the peace in the world.

Malaysia held both the 2nd ASEAN-GCC Summit and the 1st ASEAN-GCC-China Summit as Chair of ASEAN 2025. The aim was to enhance cooperation among the regions.

Malaysia will continue to lead the 47th ASEAN Summit, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur in October.
