KUALALUMPUR :  Pecca Group Berhad has appointed former Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor as its new chairman following the resignation of Datuk Mohamed Suffian Awang.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the company announced that Mazlan, 65, takes over the position after Mohamed Suffian stepped down upon reaching the 12-year tenure limit for independent non-executive chairmen.

Pecca said Mazlan served in the Royal Malaysia Police for nearly 41 years before retiring in August 2020 as Deputy Inspector-General of Police. He began his policing career in 1979 as a senior police officer and held various leadership positions throughout his service.

The appointment comes as Pecca reported lower financial results for the third quarter ended March 31, 2026.

The automotive leather upholstery specialist posted a net profit of RM10.09 million, down from RM14.24 million recorded during the same quarter last year.

Revenue also declined to RM44.8 million compared with RM53.1 million a year earlier, mainly due to lower sales volume in Malaysia’s automotive segment.

Despite the weaker quarterly performance, the company declared a third interim single-tier dividend of 1.50 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ending June 30, 2026.

The dividend is scheduled to be paid on June 19, 2026.
