Female Student Injured In Stabbing At School In Banting

SHAH ALAM: A female student was injured after being believed to have been stabbed by a woman at a secondary school in Banting near here this morning.

Kuala Langat District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi, who confirmed the incident, said that the victim is in stable condition and that further information will be shared immediately.

“Yes, the incident occurred. An initial media statement will be issued for confirmation and the victim’s condition is stable,” he said when contacted.

The suspect, however, was detained immediately after the incident.

Earlier, a video went viral on social media showing commotion at a school when a woman dressed in all black was seen holding a knife and lingering around the school premises.

In the 29-second video, a group of students were seen running to safety while whistles were heard being blown.

At the same time, the individual was seen walking while carrying a sharp weapon, believed to be a ‘rambo’ knife.
