KLUANG: The father of Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah, the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Mahkota State Assembly (DUN) by-election, is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital and has been placed under sedation.

According to Berita Harian, Syed Hussien, who is also the Youth Chief of UMNO Kluang, shared the news on his personal Facebook page this morning.

“Assalamualaikum wbt. I ask all my friends to pray for my father, Syed Abdullah, to be granted strength.

“Currently, he has been advised by doctors to be sedated. There is nothing I can ask for except the prayers of all my friends,” he said.

In the meantime, Syed Hussien’s status has been met with messages of support and prayers from the public, hoping for ease in all his and his family’s affairs and a swift recovery for his father.

Yesterday, BN announced Syed Hussien, 40, as the candidate for the Mahkota DUN by-election on September 28.

The announcement was made by BN Johor Chairman, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, at the BN Command Centre in Taman Sri Kluang during the Launch of BN Machinery and Candidate Introduction for the Mahkota by-election.

According to sources, Syed Abdullah is believed to be under sedation due to complications from cancer, and efforts to contact Syed Hussien for further details have been unsuccessful.
