Dead father and daughter found in Penang apartment lobby

An apartment building in Penang found a man and his daughter dead in the hallway this afternoon.
Penang Police Chief Hamzah Ahmad said that the first report they got was about a person with a knife who was acting strangely at a flat in Bandar Baru Farlim, Ayer Itam.
When the cops got there, they saw three bloody bodies lying on the floor of the apartment lobby near a lift.

At the scene, police found the bodies of a 62-year-old man and his 30-year-old daughter. They also arrested a 32-year-old man who they thought was the killer. We took the suspect, who injured himself by stabbing himself, to Penang Hospital for treatment.

We are investigating the murder case using Section 302 of the Penal Code.

“We believe this case is over now that we have caught the suspect and taken away the weapon that killed both victims,” he said.
“We are looking into why the suspect did what they did and are asking witnesses to come forward with information.”
He asked people on the internet not to make assumptions about the case because it could harm the probe.

To Bernama, a female family friend who did not want to be named said that the female victim was married with three children and not dating the suspect in any way.
“Please give our family some room…” “Two loved ones have died at the same time,” she said.
